My Tiny Apprentice comes with me to the studio most days. She doesn’t hold a needle yet, can’t reach the sewing machine pedal (or sit up by herself for that matter), cries when she wants something, and falls asleep on the job, BUT LOOK AT THAT FACE! She’s so cute and fun and good company too.
As a mom again after 8 years I’m finding a new balance between work and family. My Tiny Apprentice needs me, and frankly, I need her too. I waited so long for her, I want to be with her all the time. And if that means I work less, offer fewer products in my shop, don’t write much in my blog, and don’t introduce new products or fabrics for a while, I’m okay with that. My Tiny Apprentice will only be tiny for a short time and I don’t want to miss it!
